For this stronghold of upscale Pacific Rim cuisine, fresh fish, locally grown produce, and creative presentations are hallmarks. Among hotspots are Roy Yamaguchi’s signature Roy’s, with locations in both Kihei and Wailea. Maui also has a Hard Rock Cafe on Front Street in Lahaina for down home American food, memorabilia and music. Also in Lahaina, the oceanfront Aloha Mixed Plate, a tropical bar and eatery, features local favorites, noodles, burgers, and plate lunches. Chains, from Denny's to Wendy’s, round out choices that include pizza places, steakhouses, and seafood enclaves.
